Apply for Help

South Whidbey Hearts & Hammers (SWH&H) is committed to the mission of neighbors helping neighbors. Through our annual Workday event and our year-round H.E.A.R.T. program, SWH&H works to ensure that our community members can remain safe and healthy in their homes.

Our Programs

May Workday

Each year, more than 200 volunteers work together on more than 25 projects in the community. This has been an annual tradition on South Whidbey for more than 30 years and occurs yearly on the first Saturday in May.

H.E.A.R.T. Program

This program provides help throughout the year and focuses on small projects that one or two volunteers can complete. These are also projects that will correct a safety or immediate health issue.

How to Apply

If you have an immediate need to correct a safety or health issue and cannot wait for the May Workday event, you may qualify for the HEART program. Call or email.
